Student: Mel Merrett

Mel Merrett is a graphic designer with a passion for music. He's been at it for years but felt he needed some help in taking his music to another level. He started the course as a competent dance musician and got some great feedback and support from Phil Larsen, a Grammy winner who's had a No 1 in France with Moby.

Tune writing and chord progressions were more of a challenge so he is doing several projects working 1-to1 with a specialist tutor to turn a weakness into a strength. He even had a go at recreating John Williams' "Indiana Jones".
